The head — Evgeny Zubovsky, a senior lecturer

General information
The laboratory was founded in October, 16, 2007. The main goals of its activity are:

• Fundamental, searching and applied research of acute linguistics and linguodidactics problems
• Creation of scientific-methodological supply of linguistic and linguodidactic disciplines
• Arranging scientific events on perspective linguistic and linguodidactic problems
• Arranging students’ scientific research work

The structure of the laboratory is built of the sector of theoretical and applied linguistics, sector of dialectology and areal linguistics, sector of Germanic language studies, sector of Romanic language studies, sector of Slavonic language studies, sector of methodology of teaching English as a second language.

Main spheres of activity:

• The description of nominative and communicative units of Germanic and Slavonic languages as part of the system and in the text (descriptive and comparative aspects)
• Creating scientific-methodological materials for teaching the theory and practice of the English language at High school in the Republic of Belarus
• Studying eastern Slavonic idioms on the background of Slavonic and Germanic languages

The head — Natalia  Protasova, a senior lecturer

General information
The centre was founded in September, 28, 2010. At the opening ceremony there were the vice-chancellor of MSU A.V. Ivanov, the dean of the foreign languages faculty D.S. Lavrinovich, the representative of the German embassy in RB Peter Detmar, the head of DAAD in Minsk Michael Kless, the deputy head of DAAD in Minsk Svetlana Petrovich.

The main spheres of activity:

• The development and consolidation of teachers and lecturers of the German language and philology co-operation
• Taking part in the events arranged by the German Embassy in the RB, the Gete Institute in Minsk, the German organization of academic exchange DAAD
• Methodological seminars for the German language teachers
• Making connections with educational establishments in German speaking countries
• Raising the motivation of the German language learning

The head — Olga Vladimirovna, a senior lecturer of the department of Romano-Germanic philology.

General information
It was founded on February, 20, 2009. During the ceremony a two-side agreement on collaboration between MSU and the French embassy in the RB. The partners of our centre are The Federation of French public help (Nor Pa-de-Kale), Belorussian association of French language teachers, Regional institute of education development, The Embassy of France in Belarus and University d’Artua. The centre’s members regularly travel to France to take part in various events held by the Centre’s partner, organization “French people’s help” (European youth meeting (Paris, 29–31.10.2010), The National congress of “French people’s help”, 8.11.2011), etc.).

Main spheres of activity:

• The development and realization of educational projects on the regional and national level
• Taking part in the events arranged by the Embassy of France in Belarus (The week of French movies, exhibitions, literature competitions)
• Arranging internships, methodological seminars for the French language teachers
• Development of connections with French educational establishments not only in the sphere of linguistics, but natural sciences, economics as well
• Choosing and preparing interpreters to accompany children’s groups leaving for health improvement for France
