The course of lectures has been prepared in accordance with the standard curriculum for higher education institutions approved by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the approximate curriculum of the specialty 6-05-313-01 “Psychology”, approved by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus.

The course of lectures includes two sections, traditionally presented in textbooks on general psychology — “Introduction to the subject of psychology”, “Mental processes”. The logic of the presentation of the material reflects the views of the authors on the possibility of its independent successful development by students. The text is accompanied by illustrations and tables, and each chapter ends with self-test questions. The publication is addressed to students of institutions of higher education, undergraduates, postgraduates, teachers and anyone who is interested in the problems of psychology.
