Mogilev religious centre

Mogilev religious center is a scientific association and was established in the educational establishment Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University in 2009 in order to ensure the effectiveness of research and educational activities in the field of religious studies, to strengthen and develop the scientific and intellectual potential of the university by attracting students, postgraduates, teachers to participate in religious studies, to develop cooperation with other scientific institutions and educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus and foreign countries, as well as with public associations engaged in religious studies.

The results of this center's work are used in the educational process: the development of new and updating lecture courses taught at the university, the implementation of course and diploma projects by students, the preparation of dissertation research, monographs, scientific and popular scientific articles, textbooks and teaching aids, methodological recommendations.

This center promotes the strengthening of scientific contacts in the field of religious studies between university staff and specialists from other educational and scientific centers of the Republic of Belarus, and the development of international university contacts in the field of religious studies. The center's staff develops proposals on the structure and content of educational programs and standards in the field of religious studies, popularizes scientific knowledge about the history of religion and the current state of religions and state-confessional relations, and provides scientific advisory and expert assistance to government authorities, public organizations and the media.

The Center assists in the dissemination of scientific information on freedom of conscience and the activities of religious associations, conducts scientific events on topical issues of religious studies, carries out public expertise of scientific, educational and methodological literature on religious studies, holds conferences, symposiums and meetings on the state and improvement of teaching religious studies and scientific work in secondary and higher education the School of the Republic of Belarus, promotes the introduction of new methods in the educational process, popularization of advanced methods in teaching religious studies.
